§ 52-75. Septage and grease waste rates.

(a)

The town shall accept septage and grease waste from commercial septage and grease waste collectors for processing, provided that such collectors shall have registered with the town by completion of an application in the form and manner determined by the town manager, and be current in the payment of accrued fees owed to the town.

(b)

The rates for the processing, treatment, and disposal of such septage and grease waste shall be as determined by the town manager, and shall be published as "Appendix A" hereto, which appendix shall be incorporated herein as if fully set forth.

(c)

Such rates and charges shall be reviewed and, if necessary, adjusted annually by the town manager, who shall report such rates and charges to the town council prior to publication thereof.

1.

Annual registration fee for commercial collectors of septage and grease waste: $100.00.

2.

Rate per gallon of septage: 2.5 cents.

3.

Rate per gallon of grease waste: 2.5 cents.
