§ 10-195. Licensee prohibited from doing business with certain persons.

  • No secondhand dealer, pawnbroker or junk dealer shall purchase or accept in pledge any goods or articles from any minor without the consent thereto of his parent or guardian in writing being obtained at the time of the purchase, or from any person who at the time is intoxicated, or from an habitual drunkard, or from any person known by him to be a thief or an associate of either thieves or receivers of stolen goods or property, or from any person whom he has reason to suspect of being such. All secondhand dealers, pawnbrokers or junk dealers shall be subject to all state statutes applicable to their particular trade or business in addition to and in conjunction with the regulations found in this chapter.
